Developer, Middle Office Systems

Our client, a well-established investment bank, is looking to hire an IT System Developer in Hong Kong. The role will focus on middle office systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the bank's middle office systems, ensuring adherence to functional requirements through rigorous testing.
• Create and document essential development materials, including test plans and outcomes to support system functionality.
• Collaborate with first-level support teams to provide second-line assistance and work alongside other IT departments to troubleshoot technical issues, reporting insights to management.
• Conduct feasibility assessments and impact analyses for potential system solutions, offering clear recommendations for business decisions.
• Provide early shift support as needed to ensure seamless system operations.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proficient in C#, .NET, Excel VBA, SQL, and SSIS, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with Shell, Python, Java, ASP, Linux, Omgeo CTM, ULBridge, and Fidessa is advantageous.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in application development.
• Experience in the Investment Banking or Securities Trading sectors, particularly in the development and support of trading applications, would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication abilities in both English and Chinese, and the capacity to work well independently and as part of a team.
