🌟 Overview of the Role

Join a Fortune 200 clean energy leader's Engineering & Construction team as a Senior Project Management Consultant focused on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. You'll coordinate highly matrixed development teams, manage projects from early-stage development through construction handoff, and work with executive leadership on financial models and approvals. This is a multi-project role spanning the United States and Canada.

💼 Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate highly matrixed project development teams to ensure resources are focused on the right activities to meet project schedules
• Develop project technical scope and optimize variables for technical and financial feasibility
• Support origination and development teams with PPA and GIA negotiations
• Coordinate engineering, estimating, and procurement requirements across internal and external teams
• Present financial models to executive leadership and manage through budget approvals
• Competitively source, negotiate, and execute commercial contracts for geotechnical, survey, engineering, and EPC/PC construction services
• Ensure projects can be turned over to Construction PM with an inclusive and executable construction plan
• Coordinate with environmental, regulatory, land acquisition, and interconnection teams

✅ Required Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Finance/Accounting
• 5+ years of project management experience
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously at varying stages
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and executive presentation abilities
• Ability to travel occasionally to project sites and public hearings

Preferred:

• PMP Certification
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with electricity markets and renewables
• BESS or battery project experience
• EPC/PC contract negotiation experience
