Overview
Our client, a global leader in renewable energy construction and infrastructure, is seeking a Associate Project Manager to support early-stage Engineering & Construction (E&C) activities.
In this role, you will work closely with a Regional Lead Project Manager to drive solar projects through the early-stage lifecycle, including screening, diligencing, and pipeline development. You will play a critical role in ensuring each project is technically sound, financially viable, and positioned for successful transition into late-stage execution.
This is a fast-paced, high-visibility role ideal for a driven professional looking to grow within solar project management and renewable energy development.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of assigned solar projects and manage them through early-stage development phases including screening, diligencing, and pipeline progression
- Ensure projects are technically feasible, financially viable, and aligned with schedule and commercial expectations
- Analyze technical and financial data to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities
- Support the development, tracking, and management of project capital budgets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, permitting, and commercial stakeholders
- Assist with development and permitting efforts, coordinating with subject matter experts to move projects forward
- Support contract negotiations, approvals, and execution of key project agreements
- Contribute to the development of preliminary construction plans and project schedules
- Utilize internal systems and tools to manage project data, deliverables, and reporting
- Provide updates and insights to leadership, with support from the Regional Lead Project Manager
- Support overall team organization, reporting, and readiness across multiple active projects
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in construction, energy, or solar development projects
- Strong financial analysis and data interpretation skills
- Interest or exposure to mechanical or technical project components
- Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in project management within renewable energy
