Overview

Our client, a global leader in renewable energy construction and infrastructure, is seeking a Associate Project Manager to support early-stage Engineering & Construction (E&C) activities.

In this role, you will work closely with a Regional Lead Project Manager to drive solar projects through the early-stage lifecycle, including screening, diligencing, and pipeline development. You will play a critical role in ensuring each project is technically sound, financially viable, and positioned for successful transition into late-stage execution.

This is a fast-paced, high-visibility role ideal for a driven professional looking to grow within solar project management and renewable energy development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of assigned solar projects and manage them through early-stage development phases including screening, diligencing, and pipeline progression
  • Ensure projects are technically feasible, financially viable, and aligned with schedule and commercial expectations
  • Analyze technical and financial data to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities
  • Support the development, tracking, and management of project capital budgets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, permitting, and commercial stakeholders
  • Assist with development and permitting efforts, coordinating with subject matter experts to move projects forward
  • Support contract negotiations, approvals, and execution of key project agreements
  • Contribute to the development of preliminary construction plans and project schedules
  • Utilize internal systems and tools to manage project data, deliverables, and reporting
  • Provide updates and insights to leadership, with support from the Regional Lead Project Manager
  • Support overall team organization, reporting, and readiness across multiple active projects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in construction, energy, or solar development projects
  • Strong financial analysis and data interpretation skills
  • Interest or exposure to mechanical or technical project components
  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in project management within renewable energy
