Position Overview:
We're seeking an experienced Oracle/SQL Database Engineer with strong systems administration background to join an elite IT team supporting mission-critical operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced technology while maintaining crucial database systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain Oracle and SQL databases ensuring optimal performance
- Implement system updates and security patches
- Develop automation scripts for deployment processes
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with engineering teams on system requirements
- Monitor database health and resolve performance issues
- Manage Windows and Linux systems
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance (must be willing to complete CI Polygraph)
- 6+ years of relevant experience in database administration
- Strong expertise in Oracle database administration (3+ years minimum)
- 4+ years of Windows/Linux systems administration experience
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with PowerShell scripting
- Ability to travel 30% and lift 20 lbs
Preferred Skills:
- RHEL 7/8, CentOS, or Ubuntu experience
- CCNA/CCNP certification
- VMware virtualization experience
- Ansible automation experience
- Commvault backup system knowledge
- NIST RMF experience
