Position Overview

As a Sourcing Specialist II, you will play a crucial role in executing the sourcing process for assigned business areas and administering policies and programs directed towards providing contracted services and materials. This position prepares simple sourcing agreements and interfaces with business units, legal experts, and internal supply chain personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the sourcing process for assigned areas, interacting with operating business units, legal experts, and ISC personnel
  • Analyze responses to bid requests, distill commercial differences, and provide recommendations for supplier selection
  • Conduct simple negotiations and lead/participate on sourcing project teams
  • Communicate sourcing strategy, progress, and results to supervision and management
  • Develop and maintain relationships with business units and suppliers
  • Conduct industry analysis and evaluate supplier performance
  • Drive down total cost of ownership through effective sourcing strategies
  • Participate in sourcing data analysis, forecasting, and planning
  • Develop new sources of supply and monitor ongoing supplier performance

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related fields
  • Minimum 1+ years of supply chain/procurement experience
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with focus on Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
