About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Leave Specialist to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing the entire medical leave process for our employees, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including FMLA and ADA. This position requires a strong understanding of medical leave laws, exceptional communication skills, and a high level of empathy and discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Full Medical Leave Cycle:
    • Guide employees and managers through the entire medical leave process, from initial request to return-to-work.
    • Conduct thorough reviews of medical certifications and workplace accommodation requests.
    • Interpret and apply relevant laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and state/local laws.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all medical leave cases.
  • Provide Expert Guidance and Support:
    • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on all aspects of medical leave.
    • Provide clear and concise explanations of leave policies, benefits, and legal requirements.
    • Address employee concerns and questions promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure Compliance:
    • Stay abreast of all relevant legal and regulatory changes.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and company policies.
    • Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Foster a Supportive and Inclusive Workplace:
    • Promote a culture of compassion and understanding for employees on medical leave.

Qualifications:
