Principal Engineer - Transmission Projects

Overview of the Role:
Join a dynamic team working on game-changing transmission infrastructure projects that power America's future. As a Principal Engineer, you'll lead significant EHV and HVDC transmission projects from conception through award, working alongside industry experts on competitive FERC Order 1000 projects and strategic acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead transmission project development from early-stage conception through project award
• Collaborate with project managers to define requirements and influence project scope
• Secure and manage engineering consulting, surveying, and geotechnical resources
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality deliverables including design criteria and constructability assessments
• Represent engineering interests in management presentations and stakeholder meetings
• Develop value engineering solutions with commercial mindset

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Extensive experience with competitive transmission proposals
• Commercial/competitive mindset with value engineering expertise
• HVDC transmission system knowledge
• EHV overhead transmission experience (500kV+)
• Underground or submarine cable experience preferred
• Strong project management and communication skills
