Job Overview:

Our client, a pioneer in the renewable energy sector, seeks an experienced and innovative Lead Project Estimator to join their Estimating Group within the Engineering & Construction Division. This role is instrumental in designing, planning, and budgeting a diverse portfolio of projects, including wind, solar, substation, transmission, and more.

You will be a vital contributor to advancing clean and reliable power solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams and driving cost-effective project estimates. Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive capital expenditure (CapEx) models, including engineering, materials, and construction costs.
• Prepare and lead detailed project estimates and pricing models for renewable and high-voltage transmission projects.
• Review designs and specifications for cost-effectiveness and suggest innovative alternatives.
• Collaborate across departments to align project objectives and ensure efficient resource utilization.
• Establish metrics for cost analysis and construction estimate checks.
• Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate market conditions into estimates.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the professional development of the team.
• Support the evaluation of new technological innovations in the industry.

Skills and Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Preferred:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering, Construction Science, or Construction Management.
• 10+ years of experience in estimating, particularly in renewable or transmission projects.
• 5+ years of field experience.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and renewable energy infrastructure.
