Overview:

As an Economic Editor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the clarity and accessibility of research publications. You will leverage your editorial expertise to distill complex economic concepts into clear, impactful content for a diverse audience. This position requires a strong grasp of economic principles, exceptional editing skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide deep editorial support for research publications, ensuring alignment with economic principles and policy applications.
  • Edit and refine technical content to enhance clarity, accuracy, and accessibility.
  • Collaborate closely with economists and researchers to translate complex ideas into compelling narratives.
  • Manage publication schedules and ensure adherence to quality, risk, and style guidelines.
  • Occasionally write and edit ad hoc materials for web content and special projects.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelors degree is required; an advanced degree in economics, business, journalism, or English is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience editing complex or technical content, ideally in economics or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel), and familiarity with LaTex and Overleaf.
  • Strong understanding of economic principles, current economic issues, and interest in public policy.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative and adaptive communication style.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
