Job Overview

The Central Maintenance Associate Project Manager is pivotal in delivering safe, reliable, and cost-effective implementation of approved capital projects. You will lead projects that include restoring wind turbines from catastrophic failure and implementing preventative measures within our clients wind fleet. This role encompasses engineering, purchasing, transportation, construction, and commissioning, ensuring the successful execution of wind turbine restoration and upgrades.

Youll work across civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to devise standardized project management processes and controls, ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines and governmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and complete projects within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, and resource plans using Smartsheet.
  • Secure resources and manage budgets, risks, and project changes using formal tools and processes.
  • Conduct project meetings, track progress, and perform project analysis.
  • Identify and resolve issues, measure and validate results, and implement effective solutions.
  • Provide internal and external clients with timely information on project status and developments.
  • Create and communicate reports and presentation materials for stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements and innovations.
  • Conduct engineering inspections and quality assurance by climbing wind turbines.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Capability to obtain NextEra climb certification and perform inspections on wind turbines.
  • Willingness to travel (10%).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Proficiency in PM scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet).
  • Basic understanding of crane operations.
