Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Project Estimator to join a high-performing team within the Engineering & Construction division. In this role, you will collaborate with various departments to prepare capital cost estimates for renewable energy and high-voltage transmission projects. You will help shape the future of clean energy by ensuring accurate and efficient project planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed capital expenditure (CapEx) models, including engineering, material, direct, and indirect construction costs.
- Analyze project designs and specifications for cost-effectiveness, offering alternatives when appropriate.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project objectives and optimize resource utilization.
- Stay current with industry trends, technology, and market conditions to ensure accurate estimates.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering growth and knowledge sharing.
- Establish and implement metrics for cost and construction estimate checks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 7+ years in project estimating, with a preference for renewable energy or transmission projects.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong Excel skills and familiarity with estimating tools.
- Strong leadership and project management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical), Construction Science, or Construction Management.
- 10+ years of experience, including 5+ years of field experience.
- Knowledge and experience in renewables or high-voltage transmission projects.
