We are seeking a seasoned Senior Communications Specialist for a critical 12-month contract. This role is pivotal in transforming complex operational and compliance information into clear, compelling, and visually engaging content for internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a proactive storyteller and collaborator who excels at simplifying intricate subjects and driving understanding across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively engage with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across the business to gather information on processes, standards, and initiatives.
- Develop, write, and edit high-quality content including process documentation, internal communications, presentations, and guidelines.
- Translate complex technical, governance, and compliance information into clear, accessible, and engaging narratives for diverse audiences.
- Design and produce visually appealing materials (e.g., infographics, one-pagers, digital content) to enhance communication effectiveness.
- Manage multiple content projects simultaneously, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand and style guidelines.
- Support internal communication strategies that promote operational excellence and compliance awareness.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a cohesive and strategic approach to all internal communications.
Requirements
- 11-15 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, internal communications, or technical writing.
- Proven portfolio demonstrating ability to create clear, engaging content from complex source material (Work examples must be submitted with resume).
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong visual communication skills and proficiency with design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, PowerPoint).
- Expertise in stakeholder interviewing, information gathering, and process documentation.
- Experience in highly regulated industries such as energy, utilities, finance, or healthcare is a significant plus.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate effectively in a team setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field.
Contract & Location Details
This is a full-time, 12-month W2 contract position requiring on-site presence at the corporate office in Juno Beach, FL. The role follows a standard 8 AM - 5 PM schedule, 40 hours per week. The pay rate is $58 per hour. This assignment is eligible for standard furlough periods coinciding with select national holidays.
