Senior IT Manager

Our client is an early-stage cybersecurity startup building foundational endpoint security technology for Windows, Linux, and macOS.Their work lives deep in the operating system: processes, memory, kernel boundaries, and attacker tradeoffs. We focus on real threats, real exploits, and defensive systems that must hold up against skilled adversaries — not academic exercises.

About the Role

We are looking for someone with strong technical depth, solid leadership capabilities, and proven experience building reliable, secure, and scalable IT environments in modern organizations.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage the company's internal IT function, supporting employees across remote and office-based environments
• Own administration and lifecycle management of company endpoints, with a strong focus on macOS environments
• Manage and optimize JAMF for device provisioning, configuration, policy enforcement,patching, and compliance 
• Administer Microsoft AzureAD / Entra ID and support identity, access, and user management processes across the organization
• Manage Microsoft Intune and SCCM environments for endpoint administration and security enforcement
• Oversee endpoint protection technologies, including antivirus (AV) and EDR solutions
• Support and improve IT security posture, access controls, hardening standards, and operational best practices
• Partner with security, compliance, and leadership teams to prepare and maintain IT controls for certifications and audits such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and similar frameworks
• Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, asset management processes, and documentation
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and act as a senior escalation point for IT operations
• Evaluate and implement improvements across identity platforms,endpoint management, security tools, and user support workflows
• Help scale the IT function to support company growth, distributed teams, and evolving compliance requirements

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in IT administration, IT operations, or corporate IT roles 
• Proven hands-on experience with Mac OSX administration, including JAMF
• Strong experience with Microsoft AzureAD / Entra ID
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft InTune and SCCM — must
• Experience administering AV and EDR platforms — required
• Experience preparing, managing, or certifying organizational IT environments for standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar compliance frameworks
• Strong understanding of endpoint management, identity and access management, security controls, and IT operations in cloud-based environments
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while partnering effectively with cross-functional teams
  

Nice to Have

• Previous experience as an IT Team Leader or in a people-management / leadership role
• Experience with MDM platforms other than InTune
• Experience administering OKTA or JumpCloud
• Experience in fast-paced, scaling, or security-focused organizations
