Head of QA and Food Safety

Job Summary

Our client in the retail industry is looking for a QA and Food Safety leader to ensure product quality, food safety compliance, and operational excellence across stores, warehouses, and suppliers. The role includes audits, team leadership, and cross-functional coordination to maintain high-quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement QA policies, procedures, and standards for all product categories.
• Lead store, supplier, and warehouse audits to ensure compliance with hygiene, food handling, storage, and traceability requirements.
• Monitor product quality performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards (HACCP, ISO, GMP).
• Coordinate with Commercial, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to resolve quality issues.
• Lead and train the QA team to strengthen quality monitoring capabilities.
• Prepare and present quality audit reports with recommendations for continuous improvem

Main Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Food Technology, Quality Assurance, Food Science, or related field.
• Experience in QA, preferably in retail, supermarket, FMCG, or food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000).
• Experience in conducting supplier and warehouse audits.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
