Job Summary
Our client is an International Commercial Bank seeking a highly experienced and strategic professional to lead its Corporate & Commercial Banking business. The role will focus on building a strong and integrated Business Banking franchise by aligning Corporate & Commercial Banking with SME and Transaction Banking to drive sustainable growth, portfolio quality, and diversified revenue streams.
The Head of Corporate & Commercial Banking will oversee large corporate and upper mid-market client portfolios with full accountability for portfolio quality, risk-adjusted growth, client relationship management, and cross-product revenue generation. The role also plays a key part in strengthening balance sheet discipline, sector strategy, and integrated client engagement across lending, trade, FX, and cash management solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
Portfolio & Balance Sheet Management
- Build and manage a high-quality Corporate & Commercial Banking portfolio.
- Drive sustainable growth with strong focus on risk-adjusted returns and portfolio quality.
- Define sector strategies, exposure limits, and portfolio diversification plans.
- Monitor portfolio health and proactively manage early warning indicators.
Client Relationship & Business Development
- Lead coverage of large corporate and upper mid-market/commercial clients.
- Deepen client relationships across lending, trade finance, FX, and cash management products.
- Increase wallet share and strengthen long-term client engagement.
Deal Structuring & Credit Governance
- Partner closely with Credit teams to structure complex transactions.
- Ensure appropriate pricing aligned with risk and return expectations.
- Maintain strong underwriting standards, governance, and credit discipline.
Business Banking Integration
- Collaborate closely with SME Banking and Transaction Banking teams.
- Support client pipeline development, client graduation strategies, and CASA growth initiatives.
- Build integrated client revenue opportunities beyond product silos.
Leadership & Governance
- Build and lead a high-performing Relationship Management team.
- Promote accountability, ownership culture, and performance excellence.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk frameworks.
Main Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum 15–20 years of experience in Corporate and Commercial Banking.
- Strong expertise in client coverage, credit analysis, portfolio management, and transaction structuring.
- Proven experience managing portfolio quality through different market cycles.
- Strong understanding of lending, trade finance, FX, and transaction banking products.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in the Cambodian banking market is highly preferred.
