Job Summary:
Our client, a leading Microfinance Institution (MFI), positions IT as the core of business operations to enhance competitiveness through digital innovation. The IT Director will lead core-banking system operations, manage new IT projects, and drive the organizations overall digital strategy. This role includes implementing finance-specific solutions such as loan origination systems, data warehouses, and AI modeling, while leading the IT team to support business growth.

Main Responsibilities:

• Oversee core-banking system operations and digital upgrades, including the Win-Sol App.
• Manage end-to-end financial IT projects (loan origination, data warehouse, AI modeling).
• Develop and execute digital transformation strategies, considering compliance and financial regulations.
• Lead and manage IT team performance, budget, and development.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to integrate IT solutions.
• Monitor KPIs, project ROI, and report performance to executives.
• Promote innovation, adopt new technologies, and ensure cybersecurity compliance.

Main Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Engineering, IT, Financial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Masters preferred).
• 5+ years in financial IT; 5+ years in director-level leadership.
• Strong experience in core-banking operations, loan origination, data warehouse, and AI modeling.
• Knowledge of core-banking systems (Temenos, Finacle), loan origination platforms, AI/ML frameworks, cloud computing, and big data analytics.
• Project management skills (PMP, Agile/Waterfall).
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality results.
• English fluency required; multilingual skills a plus.
• Experience with global financial institutions and understanding of Korean financial regulations is preferred.
