Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Quality System Engineer to join our team in the Fiber Optic Cable Production industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality systems management, with proficiency in using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for system design and analysis. This role is essential for ensuring that our quality systems and processes are robust, effective, and aligned with industry standards and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality System Management: Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and customer specifications.
- CAD Design & Analysis: Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks to design and analyze quality control systems, production processes, and layouts to optimize efficiency and ensure product quality.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements in quality systems and production workflows, using CAD tools to model and test new approaches.
- System Audits: Plan and conduct internal audits of the quality management system, ensuring that all processes are compliant with industry standards and company policies. Prepare for external audits as required.
- Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain detailed documentation of quality systems, processes, and procedures, including CAD designs and system models. Generate reports on system performance and areas for improvement.
- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis of quality system failures and non-conformances, using CAD models to simulate and analyze issues. Implement corrective and preventive actions to address system weaknesses.
- Supplier Quality Management: Work with suppliers to ensure that their quality systems align with our standards, conducting supplier audits and collaborating on process improvements.
- Training & Development: Provide training to engineering, production, and quality teams on quality systems, CAD tools, and best practices in quality management.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all quality systems and processes comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards, staying current with changes in regulations and standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of quality systems, reduce defects, and increase overall product quality.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; certifications in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality systems engineering, preferably in the fiber optic cable production or related manufacturing industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks is required; strong understanding of quality management systems and industry standards such as ISO 9001.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining rigorous quality standards and accurate documentation.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to management.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, with strong organizational and time management skills.
