SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assigned inspectors on job allocation list must get work instructions, support documents and equipment for work from relevant division.
  • Handle MIN inspection.
  • Inspectors must check all received documents and equipment to ensure they are adequate for conducting inspection / verification / sampling.
  • Co-ordinate with other department/or division if required.
  • Daily update the job status, summary and report to Senior marine supervisor.
  • If work instruction is not clear or document and equipment is not sufficient for conducting inspection / verification / sampling, the inspectors shall clarify this matter with their superior prior to leaving for the sites.
  • Inspectors must arrive at the sites at the time notified on work instructions.
  • At arrival, the inspectors shall verify the readiness of products, quantity, condition, scope of work and facilities required etc. with person in charge.
  • Inspector shall not allow other person using equipment received from the company.
  • For standardized commodities, comply with rules and regulations of Standardized Commodity Office, Ministry of commerce.
  • Inspectors shall prepare inspection / verification / sampling report as per standard procedure requirements on completion of intervention.
  • Report, all documents and sample (if any) shall be submitted to office on the date of completion of work or not later than next morning.
  • Checking all of the fire extinguisher where were installed each area for ready to use every month
  • Sample preparation for testing and do the report.
  • Comply with the SGS Internal Quality Procedures.
  • Other as assigned by SHV Branch Manager and senior marine supervisor.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Able to work independently and to coordinate several activities simultaneously.
  • Good command in Chinese and English knowledge.
  • Basic coputer and microsoft skill.
  • Applies judgment and acts according to the SGS standards of ethics and integrity.
