QC Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and bilingual Quality Control (QC) Supervisor to lead our quality control team in the Fiber Optic Cable Production industry. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in quality control processes, a solid understanding of fiber optic cable manufacturing, and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Chinese. This role is crucial for ensuring that all products meet stringent quality standards and for facilitating effective communication with Chinese-speaking team members and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Supervision: Lead, mentor, and manage the QC team, ensuring that all team members are trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively. Communicate with team members in both English and Chinese as needed.
• Quality Control Process: Oversee and enforce quality control procedures throughout the production process, including raw material inspection, in-process checks, and final product testing.
• Inspection & Testing: Conduct and supervise regular inspections and tests to ensure that fiber optic cables meet company and industry quality standards. Use testing equipment to validate product specifications.
• Bilingual Communication: Facilitate clear communication between English and Chinese-speaking team members, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely information exchange.
• Supplier Quality Management: Work closely with Chinese-speaking suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials, conduct supplier audits, and resolve any quality issues.
• Problem Solving: Identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues and non-conformances by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of QC activities, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions, ensuring documentation is available in both English and Chinese as needed.
• Compliance: Ensure that all QC processes comply with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements, preparing for and participating in internal and external audits.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to continuously improve quality control processes and reduce defects, contributing to overall product quality enhancement.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, CQE) are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality control within the manufacturing industry, preferably in fiber optic cable production.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) is required, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of fiber optic cable production processes, materials, and quality testing methods; familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
• Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining rigorous quality standards.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with quality management software, statistical analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
