About the job Manager, Transportation & Delivery

Job Summary: Oversee daily local transport operations, ensuring timely deliveries at minimal cost. Responsibilities include fleet utilization, route planning, and vendor management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage departmental budgets and costs to optimize resource allocation.
  • Develop and execute local transport strategies for on-time, cost-effective deliveries.
  • Optimize local transport network, routes, and schedules.
  • Allocate resources (manpower, trucks, drivers) to ensure efficient operations.
  • Handle communication and complaints across sales channels, transportation, and DC.
  • Provide daily delivery reports and manage fraud cases, cash collections, and product returns.
  • Monitor KPIs and ensure adherence to delivery service levels and health/safety policies.
  • Oversee 3PL truck usage, transport vendor management, and incentives.
  • Guide and motivate the team to meet objectives.
  • Foster continuous learning and development in supply chain management.

Main Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or diploma in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field.
  • 2-3 years in a similar role, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Knowledge in warehousing, distribution, and transport operations.
  • Proficiency in office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in local language and proficient in English.
  • Leadership experience with a focus on team building, conflict resolution, and decision-making.
