About the job Manager, Transportation & Delivery
Job summary
Manage the day-to-day operations of local transport strategies and plan to ensure delivery on time with minimum cost. This includes fleet utilization, route planning and vendor service commitments
Business metrics Business metrics relevant to achieving the essential accountabilities below
- Manage operating departmental budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient allocation of resources, where applicable
- Develop and execute local transport strategies, plans and processes to ensure delivery on time with minimum cost per unit. Include optimize truck capacity (time, cube, and weight),
- Plan and optimize local transport network, mode, route, and schedule to ensure everyday deliveries (in full and on time) Plan and manage the allocation of resources including manpower resources, trucks and drivers based on business needs to ensure efficient transport operations
- Handle communication/complaints (Telegram, Email, Microsoft team, on call) between cross all FMCGs Sale channel with transportation and DC.
- Provide daily delivery report to manager number of invoices delivered/ number invoices pending.
- Manage control and to provide daily delivery plan to the delivery team before loading goods on a truck.
- Manage and oversee fraud case /compliant/follow SOP
- Oversee and control daily cash collection COD.
- Manage and control daily goods loading and pending on truck.
- Manage and control daily KPI delivery service level
- Manage and control goods return on upon delivery/cancel on upon
delivery and in WH - Manage and control product return from trade
- Oversee GPS tracking report.
- Manage and control daily plan usage of 3PL Truck Ret/transportation vender
- Controlling and preparing monthly incentive programs for manager approval
Controlling daily and preparing monthly over time for manager approval - Ensure that operations strictly enforce and adhere to the companys Health and Safety Policy
- Collaborate with the internal warehousing operations team to ensure
- seamless and effective product transfer for inbound, outbound and/or proper yard management
- Other tasks assigns by the manager
Leadership responsibilities
- Guide team to ensure effective delivery of teams goals
Drive self-learning and improvement in the area of Supply Chain Management and Company behaviors as part of continuous learning
Job Requirements
- Demonstrate basic knowledge in warehousing, distribution and transport and supply chain processes
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the day-to-day running of a Freight and Transport operation
- Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrate fluency in local language and fairly good in English,
both written and spoken
Education Bachelor's degree and/or diploma/certificate in supply chain, logistics management, business administration, and/or any related field
Work experience Minimum experience of two to three years in a similar role
Minimum three years experience in a managerial capacity
