About the job Trainee Audit
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with Audits: Support audit teams in the planning and execution of audit engagements by performing tasks such as gathering and organizing financial data, testing controls, and verifying information.
- Learning and Development: Actively participate in training sessions and on-the-job learning opportunities to build knowledge in auditing standards, accounting principles, and industry regulations.
- Documentation: Help prepare and maintain audit working papers and other documentation required during audit engagements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Client Support: Assist in liaising with clients to collect necessary financial information and documentation, and support senior auditors in maintaining effective client relationships.
- Data Analysis: Conduct basic data analysis and support the team in identifying discrepancies or issues within financial statements.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to complete assigned tasks, contribute to team discussions, and support the overall audit process.
- Adherence to Standards: Ensure compliance with internal audit methodologies and external regulatory requirements during audit engagements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: No prior experience required; internships or coursework in accounting or finance are beneficial.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical skills, with an attention to detail.
- Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members and clients.
- Teamwork: Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment, with a proactive approach to learning and contributing.
