About the job Factory General Manager
Operational Management:
- Oversee all aspects of factory operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, and logistics.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor production schedules, adjust workflows, and manage resources to meet production targets.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of supervisors, engineers, and production staff.
- Ensure proper training and development programs are in place for all factory employees.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and high morale.
Quality Control:
- Ensure that all products meet quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance processes and conduct regular inspections.
- Address and resolve any quality-related issues promptly.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure the factory operates in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Promote a culture of safety, conducting regular safety audits and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
Budgeting and Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the factorys budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient use of resources.
- Monitor expenses and optimize production costs to achieve financial targets.
- Prepare regular financial and operational reports for senior management.
Strategic Planning:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance productivity and profitability.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term goals for the factory.
Stay informed about industry trends and advancements, integrating new technologies and practices as appropriate.
- Stakeholder Management:
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and customers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and products.
Address and resolve any operational or logistical challenges that may arise.
Represent the factory in meetings with clients, regulatory bodies, and other external parties.
- Requirements:
Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in business management or related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in garment/textile manufacturing or factory management.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
Proficient in using manufacturing software and MS Office Suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
