Job Summary:
The Operations Manager (Transportation/Logistics) oversees transportation operations in logistics and port environments, ensuring efficient service delivery, cost control, and compliance with industry standards. This role collaborates with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to optimize performance and ensure safety and customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with transportation vendors/contractors, ensuring performance and cost targets are met.
  • Oversee daily transportation operations, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Continuously improve processes, reduce costs, and optimize resource use in logistics and port operations.
  • Monitor KPIs like on-time delivery and cost efficiency, preparing regular reports for performance tracking.
  • Manage transportation budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and lead transportation teams.
  • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance, particularly in port settings.
  • Address transportation delays and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.

Main Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Operations Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics or transportation, with 2-3 years in management, preferably in port operations.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and budget management skills.
  • Knowledge of logistics, transportation, and port operations, and relevant regulations.
