Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Manager to lead our Quality Assurance team in the Fiber Optic Cable Production industry. The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality management, including the development and implementation of quality standards, monitoring production processes, and ensuring that all products meet the highest quality requirements. This role is critical to maintaining our reputation for excellence and driving continuous improvement in our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management System (QMS): Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System in compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements.
  • Process Control: Monitor and control production processes to ensure consistency and adherence to quality standards, including overseeing in-process inspections and final product testing.
  • Supplier Quality: Manage supplier quality performance, conduct audits of suppliers, and collaborate with procurement and production teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, reducing defects, and improving production efficiency through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the quality assurance and control team, providing training and support to ensure that team members are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Customer Requirements: Ensure that all products meet or exceed customer specifications and expectations by maintaining close communication with customers and addressing any quality concerns.
  • Documentation: Oversee the documentation of quality control procedures, inspection reports, and compliance records, ensuring that all records are accurate and up to date.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and certifications, including conducting internal audits and preparing for external audits.
  • Non-Conformance Management: Manage the identification, reporting, and resolution of non-conformances, implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Reporting: Provide regular quality performance reports to senior management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, CQE) is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quality management within the manufacturing industry, preferably in fiber optic cable production or a related field.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of fiber optic cable production processes, materials, and testing methods, as well as familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001, TL 9000, or similar.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and developing quality teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of successfully implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in quality management software, statistical analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ethical Standards: Strong ethical standards and a commitment to upholding quality and safety in all operations.
