Head of Product and Business Development

Job Summary:

The Head of Product and Business Development leads the creation, management, and growth of innovative financial products and services, aligning with the companys strategic goals. This role drives market research, business growth initiatives, strategic partnerships, and product innovation to enhance competitiveness and sustainable revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Management

• Lead the full product lifecycle: ideation, feasibility study, design, testing, launch, and performance monitoring.
• Improve existing products and services to meet customer needs and market trends.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to internal policies.
• Coordinate with IT, Operations, and Risk teams for system integration and process optimization.

Bancassurance Business Lead

• Develop and execute Bancassurance strategy.
• Build partnerships and negotiate agreements with insurers.
• Lead product design and delivery of customer-focused insurance solutions.
• Establish sales and distribution channels (branch, digital, agents).
• Ensure staff training, compliance, and regulatory adherence.
• Monitor performance (sales, persistency, profitability).
• Promote Bancassurance internally and externally.

Business Development & Growth

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and alliances.
• Develop business models to enhance customer acquisition, retention, and profitability.
• Drive digital transformation and innovative delivery channels.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new ventures.

Market Research & Strategy

• Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Recommend strategies to expand market share and customer outreach.
• Develop strategic business plans aligned with organizational goals.

Leadership & Team Management

• Build, mentor, and lead the Product and Business Development team.
• Foster cross-department collaboration for smooth project implementation.
• Prepare reports and presentations for the CEO and Board.

Main Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Banking & Finance, or related field (Masters preferred).
• Minimum 5 years experience in product development, business development, or strategy, preferably in banking, microfinance, or fintech.
• Strong knowledge of financial products, digital banking, and market trends.
• Proven leadership, project management, and negotiation skills.

• Excellent communication in English and Khmer (written and spoken).
