About the Role:

We are looking for a highly qualified Project Manager / Team Leader to join our team and lead strategic initiatives under the Bureau of Emergency Medical Operations (BEMO) programs and projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in statutory requirements, policy development, strategic planning, and senior management. This role requires collaboration with state governments to provide technical assistance, manage programs, and develop strategies to enhance accountability and program outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Assistance and Expertise: Provide ongoing technical assistance and subject matter expert support in the establishment, expansion, or maintenance of BEMO programs and projects.
  • Program Management: Supplement BEMO management capacity as needed to maximize programmatic outputs for federal grant and/or state programs throughout the term of the purchase order.
  • Process Development: Develop updated processes and milestone timelines for the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) grants program by September 30, 2025.
  • Consultation and Strategy Development: Provide ongoing consultation and recommendations in developing strategies to improve accountability and program outputs for BEMO programs, grant activities, and projects.
  • Project Design and Development: Assist in designing and developing the Community Paramedicine (CP)/Mobile Integrated Healthcare (MIH) "Model Communities Project."
  • Reporting and Compliance: Assist in the completion of internal reporting and compliance activities relating to the BEMO Public Health Infrastructure projects throughout the term of the purchase order.
  • Contract Oversight: Assist the BEMO leadership team in overseeing the development and accountability of the EMS Center contract deliverables with the University of South Florida.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Statutory and Policy Experience: At least 4 years of experience in statutory requirements, policy development, implementation, and coordination.
  • Strategic Planning: At least 6 years of experience in the development of strategic planning.
  • Senior Management Presentations: At least 6 years of experience in making presentations to senior management.
  • Grant Applications: At least 8 years of experience in composing and reviewing grant applications on processes, services, and other initiatives.
  • Senior Management Experience: At least 3 years of senior management experience working with state governments.
