Federal Financial Management Analyst
Location: Remote; Limited visits to HQ in Springfield, VA
Education and Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree Accounting
- 3+ years Federal Financial Accounting experience
- Public Trust Clearance
- Must be familiar with FASAB, GAAP, and USSGL
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Generate, format and distribute financial reports, utilizing large data sets, to multiple varied stakeholders.
- Support the creation, validation, maintenance and periodic review of project accounts in financial systems.
- Create and maintain process documentation.
- Research and respond to audit requests.
- year-end close processes for leases and restructuring and preparing reconciliations
- Review and develop policies, procedures, position papers, and other documentation to ensure agency compliance with Federal financial reporting and audit requirements, the USSGL, and federal accounting guidance as issued by the FASAB.
- Prepare, compile, or review responses to external and internal audit requests.
- Review deliverables for quality assurance in line with project requirements
Qualities and Required Skillsets:
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing.
- Strong analytical capabilities and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to interface professionally with the client and provide expertise as needed.
- Ability to effectively work as part of a remote team.
- Payroll Accounting Experience required.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a government security clearance.
