Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team, responsible for interfacing and communicating with clients both remotely and in-person. This role involves assisting in the development of key supporting documentation for processes related to the assigned Management Service Center (MSC), including process maps, narratives, standard operating procedures, and job aids. Additionally, you will help establish process objectives and identify associated risks, while advising clients on finance, accounting, and internal controls matters. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assess completeness and validity of imputed costs.
  • Perform ad-hoc research tasks.
  • Assist with finance process documentation, assessment, and automation.
  • Work with clients to identify financial control issues and gap.
  • Design and implement solutions to improve financial management activities. Assist with accounting and financial reporting operations.
  • Participate in the development of deliverable content that meets the needs of the client and contract.
  • Review deliverables for accuracy and quality, ensuring adherence to established RMIC program documentation and identifying gaps for corrective action.
  • Conduct process walkthroughs to validate documentation and identify process or control gaps.
  • Develop internal control documentation, including control objectives, activities, and test plans for Test of Design (TOD) and Test of Effectiveness (TOE).
  • Assist with TOD and TOE testing, documenting results.
  • Maintain required RMIC program documentation using agency-provided templates (e.g., risk register, risk and control matrix, aggregated test results and conclusions matrix, internal control evaluation plan, Assessable Unit Project Plan).
  • Create corrective action plans (CAPs) for identified control deficiencies and other RMIC program issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or business management related field.
  • Familiarity with DoD and DLA Financial Management policies and procedures. Knowledge of GAAP, GAGAS, and ICOFR.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • At least 2 years of federal experience
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to interface professionally with the client and provide expertise as needed.
  • Ability to effectively work as part of a remote team.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a government security clearance
