About the Company

ANT Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an established equipment hire business. The team maintains machinery used by customers across construction and industry.

The Role

This hands-on position focuses on keeping heavy plant safe, reliable and ready for hire through maintenance, repairs and effective fault diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Complete servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Record work completed and parts used accurately.
• Follow safe working procedures and report defects promptly.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues and customers.

Skills and Experience

• Relevant technical qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience working with plant or heavy equipment.
• Strong fault-finding skills and a practical approach to repairs.
• Attention to safety, quality and service records.
• Own basic hand tools; specialist tools and PPE are provided.

Candidate Profile

A dependable engineer who works well independently and within a workshop team, takes pride in repair quality and communicates effectively.
