About the Role

ANT Recruitment is supporting an established Malta-based yachting services group with the appointment of an experienced Marine Electrician. You will diagnose, maintain and repair onboard electrical and electronic systems across luxury yachts, motorboats and leisure craft, working closely with mechanical technicians and the wider after-sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose faults across marine electrical and electronic systems
  • Inspect, test, maintain and repair onboard AC and DC systems
  • Work on batteries, charging systems, alternators, starters, distribution panels, pumps and lighting
  • Trace wiring faults and repair or replace cables, connections and components
  • Carry out planned maintenance and respond to vessel breakdowns
  • Identify current and developing faults and recommend appropriate repairs
  • Prepare accurate estimates for maintenance, repairs, labour and parts
  • Complete job cards, time records and technical reports accurately
  • Follow manufacturer procedures, technical bulletins and warranty requirements
  • Explain faults and repair recommendations clearly to customers and colleagues
  • Support wider after-sales projects alongside mechanical, GRP, painting and general-purpose teams
  • Travel between operational locations and customer vessels across Malta

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Marine Electrician, Marine Electrical Technician or in a closely related electrical role
  • Strong practical knowledge of electrical fault-finding, testing, repair and installation
  • Experience working safely with AC and DC systems
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, technical manuals and manufacturer information
  • Ability to work independently and complete repairs safely and accurately
  • Clear communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach
  • A valid driving licence that can be used or exchanged in Malta
  • Willingness to live and work in Malta

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working on luxury yachts, motor yachts or leisure craft
  • Recognised electrical, electronic or marine-engineering qualifications
  • Manufacturer training or certification within the marine sector
  • Knowledge of navigation equipment, control systems, generators and shore power
  • Experience with warranty and manufacturer service standards
  • Basic mechanical, HVAC or refrigeration troubleshooting capability
