Job Openings B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer – Turboprop

About the job B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer – Turboprop

B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer – Turboprop

Location: East Midlands Airport, Castle Donington
Sector: Aviation / Aircraft Maintenance
Contract Type: To be confirmed
Salary: Dependent on experience

The Opportunity

ANT Recruitment is inviting expressions of interest from experienced UK CAA Part-66 B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineers for a specialist aviation maintenance business at East Midlands Airport.

Our client may consider local engineers who do not currently hold a Beechcraft King Air B200 or Reims-Cessna F406 type rating where their existing aircraft maintenance experience is closely relevant. Consideration will depend on an individual technical assessment.

This is a future opportunity rather than an immediate appointment. It would suit an experienced licensed engineer exploring specialist turboprop aircraft maintenance as a next step.

The Role

The proposed scope supports aircraft maintenance, fault investigation, technical documentation and safe aircraft availability. Final duties will depend on the engineer's experience, licence coverage and the requirements agreed with the employer.

Certification duties will require the appropriate aircraft coverage, competence and company authorisation. Holding a B1 licence alone does not provide authority to certify work on every aircraft type.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support maintenance and defect investigation within the agreed scope of the position.
  • Follow approved maintenance data and company engineering procedures.
  • Maintain clear, accurate records of completed work and technical findings.
  • Communicate effectively with the engineering team and escalate technical concerns.
  • Work within the limitations of the applicable licence, competence and authorisation.

Essential Requirements

  • A UK CAA Part-66 B1 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.
  • Closely relevant aircraft maintenance experience that can be assessed against the employer's fleet requirements.
  • Clear details of aircraft types maintained, recent practical work and previous authorisations.
  • Local to East Midlands Airport and able to attend the workplace.
  • A careful approach to safety, maintenance documentation and engineering standards.

Desirable Experience

Relevant turboprop aircraft maintenance and fault-finding experience would be useful to discuss. Applicants should describe their exact aircraft background rather than assume that experience on a different aircraft automatically meets the requirements.

What Is on Offer

A confidential discussion about a potential aircraft engineering opportunity in the East Midlands. Salary will depend on experience. Employment terms, package, roster and timing remain to be confirmed.

Any type-training or development route would require separate agreement following technical assessment. Funded training and a guaranteed appointment are not confirmed.
