An excellent opportunity to join a leading hospital in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia as a Senior Registrar in Orthopaedic Surgery.

We are seeking qualified orthopaedic surgeons currently based in Egypt who are interested in relocating to Saudi Arabia. Physical interviews will be conducted in Egypt.

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Registrar – Orthopaedic Surgery will provide comprehensive care for patients with musculoskeletal disorders and traumatic injuries. The role involves managing inpatient and outpatient cases, participating in elective and emergency orthopaedic procedures, and working closely with Consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of orthopaedic conditions and trauma cases.
  • Participate in elective and emergency orthopaedic surgical procedures according to experience and clinical privileges.
  • Provide pre-operative, post-operative, and follow-up patient care.
  • Manage orthopaedic emergencies and trauma presentations.
  • Participate in on-call duties as required.
  • Collaborate with Consultants and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.
  • Support and supervise junior physicians and residents where appropriate.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and educational activities.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and SCFHS regulations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Medical degree (MBBCh/MBBS) from a recognized institution.
  • Egyptian Board, MD, Fellowship, Arab Board, or equivalent recognized qualification in Orthopaedic Surgery.
  • Eligible for Senior Registrar classification with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
  • DataFlow verification required.

Professional Experience

  • Relevant experience in Orthopaedic Surgery.
  • Experience managing trauma and elective orthopaedic cases.
  • Exposure to subspecialties such as arthroplasty, sports medicine, spine, trauma, or upper/lower limb surgery is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a tertiary care or recognized hospital setting is preferred.
  • Current medical license in Egypt or country of practice.

Language

  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Arabic language skills are an advantage.

References

  • Strong professional references from Consultants, Department Heads, or senior medical supervisors.
  • References should demonstrate clinical competence, professionalism, teamwork, and suitability for a Senior Registrar Orthopaedic Surgery position.
