Job Title: Assistant Consultant – Oncology

Opportunity:
An excellent opportunity to join one of Saudi Arabias leading hospitals as an Assistant Consultant in Oncology. This role offers the chance to deliver comprehensive cancer care, supervise trainees, and contribute to teaching and research in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and manage solid tumors and/or hematologic malignancies according to specialty scope.
Develop individualized treatment plans including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormonal therapy.
Monitor treatment response, manage therapy-related complications, and provide supportive and palliative care.
Interpret diagnostic investigations including imaging, histopathology, tumor markers, and molecular profiling.
Manage oncologic emergencies such as febrile neutropenia, spinal cord compression, tumor lysis syndrome, and hypercalcemia of malignancy.
Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings and collaborate with surgery, radiology, pathology, and radiation oncology teams.
Provide consultations across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Participate in academic teaching, clinical research, and training programs.
Contribute to departmental committees, administrative duties, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Board Certification in Medical Oncology, Clinical Oncology, or related discipline (essential).
MBBS or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution (essential).
Valid registration as Specialist/Assistant Consultant with SCFHS (essential).
Required post-board clinical experience as per SCFHS classification guidelines.
Positive professional references.
Language Requirements:
Proficiency in English (essential).
Additional proficiency in Arabic preferred.
Skills:
Strong expertise in systemic cancer therapies and oncologic care.
Ability to manage complex cases and oncologic emergencies.
Effective communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
Computer proficiency (Level III preferred).
