This senior role offers the chance to lead emergency department operations, deliver high‑quality pediatric emergency care, and contribute to teaching, research, and departmental development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and oversee Emergency Department operations to ensure efficient patient care.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to ED staff, residents, and junior physicians.
  • Deliver advanced pediatric emergency care, including trauma response, resuscitation, and critical interventions.
  • Maintain certifications (BLS, ATLS, PALS, NRP) and CME credits in compliance with SCHS requirements.
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives, policy development, and hospital committees.
  • Lead training programs, residency education, and disaster response planning.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital bylaws, medical ethics, and Ministry of Health standards.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Practitioner trained and Board Certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine (North America, Saudi Arabia, or equivalent).
  • Registration with the Saudi Council for Health Specializations (SCHS) and valid license to practice.
  • Minimum 2 years post‑specialty training experience.
  • Ability to perform all procedures listed in the Medical Staff Patient Care Privileging Form.
  • Strong leadership, administrative, and communication skills.
  • High ethical standards and professionalism.

Certifications (Essential):

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)

Preferred Certifications:

  • Pre‑Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Language Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English (essential).
  • Additional proficiency in Arabic preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong clinical expertise in pediatric emergency medicine.
