Job Brief:

To guide and direct overall supply chain strategy and business operations for the group which includes procurement, warehousing and distribution, inventory control and distribution of materials.

Major Accountabilities

  • Strategic sourcing, procurement, and storage (warehousing) of pharmaceutical, medical consumables and medical equipment
  • Manage supplier key account and stakeholder relations.
  • Monitor and manage governance and risks associated with master data/price file and central profile.
  • To manage and mitigate financial risks related to supply chain management in the Hospital.
  • Lead and manage the team efficiently and effectively.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with relevant internal and external key account stakeholders.
  • Leverage on key stakeholder relationships to solve daily operational supply chain challenges.
  • Enhance savings through effective and efficient stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with group naming conventions and procurement data requirements and initiatives.
  • Establish controls and metrics to monitor the accuracy of product master and price file data.
  • Drive and support reporting designed to assist business with stock and procurement optimization and efficiencies.
  • Ensure operational compliance to internal policies, practices and local and international regulatory requirements.
  • Participate and monitor results of regular audits, both internal and external.
  • Negotiate third party agreements and formalize contracts in collaboration with the legal department.
  • Negotiate, compile and contract Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and monitor compliance to agreed service delivery standards.
  • Investigate relevant high-risk incidents and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented to prevent or limit repetition.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Provide input into CAPEX and OPEX budgeting figures.
  • Define relevant procurement metrics and establish internal benchmarking to pro-actively identify potential financial risk for the company.
  • Process in place to monitor and manage the potential of conflict of interest.
  • Ensure that performance management contracts are in place for direct reports.
  • Co-ordinate development and training opportunities for the team and monitor progress.
  • Identify and develop talent for future succession.
  • Pro-actively gain input from HR to recruit and select the right employees at the right time.

Job Requirements

  • At least 5-8 years procurement management experience in a Healthcare environment
  • A relevant bachelor's degree in commerce, accounting or procurement field
