JOB SUMMARY
As a Hematopathology Consultant, you will provide expert diagnostic services in hematopathology, interpreting laboratory results, and collaborating with clinical teams to ensure accurate diagnosis and effective treatment plans for patients with blood disorders. This role involves performing complex analyses, reviewing pathology slides, and contributing to multidisciplinary case discussions. The consultant will also engage in research and educational activities, mentoring junior staff and participating in continuous medical education. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient care are essential for success in this position.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides high-quality haematopathology care to patients in this area of medicine.
- Provide consultative service as requested.
- Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents.
- Actively participates in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in his area of expertise and Participates in research activities.
- Participates in committees and other administrative functions as needed.
- Performs special procedures as privileged.
- Follows all hospital-related policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
- Completion of required period of training in haematopathology.
- American Board/MRCPCH-Irish, UK, Canadian, Australian & New Zealand/DES/CIS/ Diplome di Medico Specialist Italy/SCR Holland/Swedish Board/German Facharzt/Austrian Facharzt/CCST UK/Saudi Board/Arab Board & subboard/Fellowship.
- Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required
- A certificate recognized by the Saudi commission is a must.
- Dataflow is a must.
Professional Experience
- Min. 3-4 years Post Board/Fellowship in haematopathology.
- A registered member of the Saudi Board Council
Language
- Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
