Reports to : Head of Legal and Compliance IMEA

Job Main Responsibilities:

  1. Provide support and independently handle legal and compliance matters arising in the IMEA region, including, but not limited to:
  • a) Providing strategic legal advice to members of the regional management team and other stakeholders.
  • b) Providing legal support for the IMEA region relating particularly to commercial, corporate (including M&A), governance and employment matters.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, including complex and multi-jurisdictional contracts; develop contract strategies.
  • Supporting with customer claim management, advice in warranty and product liability cases.
  • Managing and coordinating legal disputes.
  • Conducting internal compliance investigations.
  • Identifying, reporting, monitoring and mitigating legal and compliance risks.
  • Monitoring the development of laws and regulations as well as relevant best practices; communicating such developments within the organization.
  • Developing and conducting legal and compliance trainings.
  • Developing and implementing internal policies and processes.
  • Corporate housekeeping for subsidiaries in IMEA region.
  • Instructing and supervising external counsel.
  • Communicating with authorities.
  1. Legal support to group functions and global or cross-regional projects and working groups.
  2. Supporting the regional Legal & Compliance team.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Degree in law from reputable university; a degree or post graduate studies in International Business Law is preferred.
  • Qualified to practice law in relevant jurisdiction.
  • MBA is a plus.
  • 8-10 years of relevant work experience as in-house counsel in international company, preferably in manufacturing field (Pharma, FMCG, Packaging etc.) ; work experience in international/regional law firm is a plus.
  • Work experience in relevant IMEA jurisdictions is highly required.
