Job Brief:

Responsible for developing biomedical equipment and medical devices to aid the quality of life for medical patients. His/ her duties include creating equipment, devices, or software programs to benefit healthcare professionals and their patients, ensuring the safety and functionality of their creations before the start of manufacturing, and helping healthcare professionals learn how to use their inventions in their daily practice.

Major Accountabilities

  • Manage the technical operations of the department.
  • Monitor and analyze trends in biomedical engineering technology.
  • Manage, training and mentoring biomedical engineering staff.
  • Manage repair and maintenance activities performed by Biomedical Engineering staff.
  • Manage staff of biomedical engineers and ensure that projects are completed on time.
  • Developing and overseeing quality control processes for biomedical engineering projects.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
  • Implement the equipment replacement strategy.
  • Establishing and reviewing budgets for biomedical engineering projects.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and techniques in the field of biomedical engineering.
  • Evaluates staff productivity, efficiency, and other specific work quality performance indices.
  • Audits work completed by in-house staff and take corrective actions where necessary.
  • Provide daily leadership and management to the team and ensure the successful completion of projects and initiatives, ensures strict compliance with product quality assurance, equipment and procedural standards, as well as engineering specifications.
  • Follow up on the ongoing projects and provide on-site leadership for all components of the medical equipment management program.
  • Participate in the development of departmental and entity continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering
  • Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering
  • +5 years of biomedical engineering experience
  • Preferred Saudi National.
