Job Title: Assistant Consultant – Pediatric Hematology & Stem Cell Transplant

Opportunity:
An excellent opportunity to join one of Saudi Arabias leading hospitals as an Assistant Consultant in Pediatric Hematology & Stem Cell Transplant. This role offers the chance to provide specialized care for children with hematologic disorders, manage stem cell transplantation programs, supervise trainees, and contribute to teaching and research in a collaborative pediatric environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and manage pediatric benign and malignant hematologic disorders including anemia, hemoglobinopathies, leukemias, lymphomas, and bleeding/clotting disorders.
Develop individualized treatment plans including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, transfusions, and supportive care.
Manage pediatric stem cell transplantation procedures, including autologous and allogeneic transplants.
Interpret laboratory investigations including peripheral blood smears, bone marrow aspirates/biopsies, cytogenetics, flow cytometry, and molecular diagnostics.
Monitor transplant patients for complications such as graft-versus-host disease, infections, and treatment-related toxicities.
Collaborate closely with pediatric oncology, immunology, infectious disease, and critical care teams.
Participate in academic teaching, clinical research, and training programs for junior staff.
Contribute to departmental committees, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Board Certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and/or Stem Cell Transplantation (essential).
MBBS or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution (essential).
Valid registration as Specialist/Assistant Consultant with SCFHS (essential).
Required post-board clinical experience in pediatric hematology and stem cell transplantation as per SCFHS guidelines.
Positive professional references.

Language Requirements:

Proficiency in English (essential).
Additional proficiency in Arabic preferred.

Skills:

Advanced expertise in pediatric hematology, oncology, and stem cell transplantation.
Ability to manage complex pediatric cases and transplant-related emergencies.
Effective communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
Computer proficiency (Level III preferred).
