Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in nursing.
  • 7 years of experience in the same Field and 3 years in same position as head nurse .
  • Masters or diploma in Management is preferable.
  • Dataflow is a must.
  • Saudi license holder is a plus.
  • Fluent in English.

Job description and responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor endoscopy nursing staff, promoting a positive work environment.
  • Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
  • Oversee daily unit activities, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement quality initiatives, monitoring patient satisfaction and outcomes.
  • Create and update policies, procedures, and guidelines for the endoscopy unit.
  • Coordinate staff education, orientation, and competency assessment.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control, sedation management, and emergency protocols.
  • Collaborate with physicians, other departments, and patients' families.
  • Manage unit budget, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., Joint Commission,..).
  • Conduct staff evaluations, providing constructive feedback.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks, reporting incidents and near misses.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
  • Conduct pre-procedural assessments and post-procedural evaluations.
  • Educate patients and families about procedures, risks, and post-care instructions.
  • Manage daily unit operations, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment and supplies necessary for endoscopy procedures.
  • Analyze patient care data and outcomes to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in clinical audits and accreditation processes.
  • Work closely with gastroenterologists, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and unit performance.
  • Provide ongoing education and training for nursing staff on endoscopic procedures and best practices.
  • Stay current with advances in endoscopy and nursing practices through continuing education.
