Job Title: Hematology Assistant Consultant

Opportunity:
An excellent opportunity to join one of Saudi Arabias leading hospitals as an Assistant Consultant in Hematology. This role offers the chance to deliver comprehensive hematology care, supervise trainees, and contribute to teaching and research in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and manage benign and malignant hematological disorders.
Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with anemia, bleeding and clotting disorders, hemoglobinopathies, leukemias, lymphomas, and other blood diseases.
Interpret laboratory investigations including peripheral blood smears, bone marrow aspirates/biopsies, coagulation studies, and molecular diagnostic tests.
Administer and monitor chemotherapy, immunotherapy, transfusion therapy, and targeted treatments as appropriate.
Manage hematologic emergencies such as neutropenic sepsis, DIC, TTP, and tumor lysis syndrome.
Provide consultations and collaborate across medical specialties including oncology, pathology, and transfusion medicine.
Participate in academic teaching, research projects, and training programs.
Contribute to departmental committees, administrative functions, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
PhD or Board Certification in Hematology or related discipline (essential).
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent from an accredited institution (essential).
Valid registration as Specialist/Assistant Consultant with SCFHS.
Positive professional references.
Language Requirements:
Proficiency in English (essential).
Additional proficiency in Arabic preferred.
Skills:
Strong expertise in clinical and diagnostic hematology.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Computer proficiency (Level III preferred).
