Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Hospital Porter to join our team in Johannesburg. As a Hospital Porter, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of patients, equipment, and supplies throughout the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

- Transporting patients to and from various areas of the hospital, including operating rooms, diagnostic imaging, and patient rooms

- Assisting with the movement of patients onto and off of beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs

- Delivering equipment and supplies to different departments within the hospital

- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment

- Responding to requests for assistance from medical staff

- Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures

- Assisting with the loading and unloading of ambulances and other vehicles

- Providing excellent customer service to patients and their families

- Reporting any equipment or maintenance issues to the appropriate department

- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management team

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience as a porter in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and patients

- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
