Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fleet Controller to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fleet, ensuring that all vehicles are well-maintained, and drivers are following company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and coordinate the daily activities of the fleet, including scheduling, dispatching, and tracking of vehicles. - Monitor and maintain the fleet's performance, including fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, and overall efficiency. - Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and serviced according to company standards and regulations. - Monitor driver behavior and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. - Maintain accurate records of all fleet activities, including vehicle maintenance, repairs, and accidents. - Communicate with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods. - Identify and implement cost-saving measures to improve the fleet's performance. - Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. - Train and develop drivers to improve their skills and performance. Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet management. - Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices. - Excellent organizational and time-management skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. - Proficient in Microsoft Office and fleet management software. - Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
