Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a strong understanding of shipping and transportation processes. The Logistics Administrator will be responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of goods and materials, ensuring that all shipments are delivered on time and in compliance with company and industry regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate and manage the movement of goods and materials, including scheduling shipments, tracking inventory, and monitoring delivery times. - Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and other logistics partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods. - Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs documents, and other required paperwork. - Monitor and analyze transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings. - Maintain accurate records of all shipments and update inventory systems accordingly. - Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. - Resolve any issues or delays in shipping and transportation, and communicate updates to relevant parties. - Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and sales, to ensure smooth and efficient logistics operations. - Provide excellent customer service to clients, addressing any inquiries or concerns in a timely and professional manner. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management. - Strong understanding of shipping and transportation processes. - Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software. - Excellent organizational and time-management skills. - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and in a team environment. - Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Contract Details: This is a full-time, permanent position based in Durban North, South Africa. The Logistics Administrator will work Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work required.
