Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Hospital Porter to join our team. The Hospital Porter will be responsible for transporting patients, equipment, and supplies throughout the hospital. They will also assist with maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Transport patients to and from various hospital departments, including admissions, surgery, and radiology

- Deliver and collect medical equipment, supplies, and specimens to and from different areas of the hospital

- Assist with the movement of patients from beds to wheelchairs or stretchers

- Maintain cleanliness and order in patient rooms, hallways, and other common areas

- Dispose of medical waste and sharps containers according to hospital protocols

- Monitor and report any issues or malfunctions with equipment or facilities

- Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times

- Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff

- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures

- Attend trainings and meetings as required

Qualifications and Skills:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to follow instructions and work independently

- Physically able to lift and move heavy objects and patients

- Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures

- Excellent customer service skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment

- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
