Job Description:

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team in Durban, South Africa. As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing assistance and support to our clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. You will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting any changes in their health or well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide personal care and assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and toileting

- Assist with mobility and transfers

- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions

- Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behavior

- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals

- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients

- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients

- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals

- Keep accurate records of care provided and any observations or concerns

- Attend training and educational programs to enhance caregiving skills

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field

- CPR and First Aid certification

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Compassionate and patient demeanor

- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently

- Must be physically able to lift and assist clients with mobility

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Contract Details:

This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive salary and benefits. The caregiver will work a set schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. We offer ongoing training and support to ensure our caregivers are equipped to provide the best care possible.
