Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Airport Assistant to join our team in Durban, South Africa. The successful candidate will assist with the smooth operation of our airport services, ensuring a positive experience for our passengers and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet and assist passengers at the airport, providing excellent customer service and addressing any inquiries or concerns

- Check-in passengers and their luggage, ensuring all necessary documents and procedures are completed accurately

- Coordinate with ground staff and other departments to ensure timely and efficient boarding and departure of flights

- Monitor flight schedules and communicate any changes or delays to passengers

- Handle and resolve any issues or complaints from passengers in a professional and timely manner

- Assist with the loading and unloading of luggage and cargo onto aircrafts

- Maintain a clean and organized airport terminal, including restocking supplies and reporting any maintenance issues

- Follow all safety and security protocols to ensure the safety of passengers, staff, and airport facilities

- Provide support to other departments as needed, such as assisting with administrative tasks or special projects.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Previous experience in customer service or airport operations preferred

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

- Attention to detail and ability to multitask

- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary airport security clearances.
