Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival

- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner

- Schedule appointments and maintain appointment calendar

- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays

- Maintain patient records and update information as needed

- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely and efficient patient flow

- Process patient payments and maintain accurate financial records

- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence

- Maintain a clean and organized reception area

- Adhere to all medical confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience in a medical office or receptionist role preferred

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures

- Proficient in computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly

- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

- Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records

- Professional and friendly demeanor

- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
