Our warehouse in Durban is a crucial part of our operations and we are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Assistant to join our team.

Job Overview:

As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of our warehouse in Durban. You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure the timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing orders. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing incoming products

- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery

- Maintain inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks

- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment

- Keep the warehouse clean and organized

- Assist with loading and unloading trucks

- Follow all safety procedures and protocols

- Communicate effectively with other team members and managers

- Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous warehouse experience preferred

- Forklift certification is a plus

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Basic computer skills

- Must be able to work full-time and have a valid work permit

Working Conditions:

The Warehouse Assistant will primarily work in a warehouse setting, with occasional outdoor work. The position requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods of time. The candidate must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
